SECR– Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting
SECR is a new carbon reporting scheme, which replaces the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) scheme. Torque Energy Consultants can help to achieve compliance.
SECR applies to three types of organisations that are required to prepare an annual Directors Report under the Companies Act 2006:
- Quoted companies of any size
- Large unquoted companies (including charities)
- Large limited liability partners (LLPs)
A company is regarded as large company if it meets two or more of the following in the relevant financial year:
- Turnover of £36million or more
- Balance Sheet of £18million or more
- 250 employees or more
